During 1st October 2018 to 31st August 2019, the country earned about USD 930 Mn from exporting about 1.5 Mn Tons of different beans and pulses. India majorly imports mung beans and pigeon peas whereas China and other European nations import green gram. Paddy comprised of 30.7% of the agriculture products and 4% of the total products exported from Myanmar in 2018-2019 on the basis of value. Major regions where rice & rice products (Paddy) are exported are China, Philippines, Cameroon, Belgium, Netherlands, Indonesia, Vietnam and others South East Asian & European Countries.

Developing Modern and Mechanized Agriculture:  Developing mechanized agriculture is one of the key priorities for the government.
