The Government of India initiated Automotive Mission Plan which is expected to ensure a Rise in Demand for Automotive Engine Valves: Ken Research

Well equipped engine valves with the latest technological advancement will help in expanding the market revenue.
The growth in engine valves and parts market is witnessed due to implementation of many major projects in automotive as well as the non-automotive segment of the economy.
Engine valves are critical for determining the performance of a vehicle’s engine as it controls the flow of exhaust gases and fuel in and out of the cylinder. India engine valves and parts market in the future will be supported by government's focus towards making investment in automotive segment. Increasing awareness about benefits of automation among the Indian companies is likely to help in improving the future productivity of auto components such as engine valves and spare parts and reducing their maintenance cost.
Moreover, initiatives have been taken by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to introduce CNG as a fuel source for two wheelers such as Investment in major technologies such as variable valve lift. This can help the existing companies to make an effort for modifying their production lines in accordance with the latest trends in the market and improve their after sales services to provide efficient customer support. In addition, new entrants can try to make their products differentiated from its competitors by investing in this technology with an aim to attract automakers to use their services and products.
On account of rising concerns about vehicle fuel efficiency and government pollution norms, manufacturers are implementing various variable timing systems to improve vehicle fuel efficiency and to reduce carbon emission footprints, which will further create demand for emission control engine valves. The expansion of automotive production facilities and increasing preference for developing local sourcing capabilities are further expected to boost the sales of automotive brake valves in India engine valves and parts market.
Expansion to rural areas, focus on aftermarket, production of titanium valves and investment in variable valve lift technology are some other key factors that may have a positive impact on the market creating additional demand for India engine valves and parts market in future, according to the Analyst at Ken Research.
Ken Research in its latest study, India Engine Valves and Parts Market Outlook to 2022 suggested that Rane Engine Valves Limited will continue their dominance but have to face fierce competition and an expected price war with Shriram Piston and Piston Rings. Global companies such as The Varroc Group, Federal-Mogul Powertrain, Eaton and others which have plans to manufacture different types of engine valves such as rotary valves, poppet valves and sleeve valves in order to diversify their market in India.
India engine valves and parts market is estimated to register a positive CAGR during FY’2017-FY’2022. The market is moving towards significant consolidation on account of rising merger and acquisition activities in the country, which are expected to showcase a rise in demand for inlet and exhaust valves in India engine valves and parts market.
