Reed switch is an electrical switch functioned by an
applied magnetic field. It is used to control the flow of electricity in a
circuit. It is made from two or more ferrous reeds enclosed within a small
glass tube-like envelope, which become magnetized and move together/separate
when a magnetic field is moved towards the switch. Owing to its simple &
unique structure, reed switches are used in numerous applications including
medical electronics, ignition assemblies, test & measurement equipment,
telecom, garage door openers, automotive, security (door sensors, control
panels, window sensors, and others), general purpose, appliances, fitness equipment
and others.

volts, ability to switch as low as 10 nano volts without signal loss, ability
to switch currents up to 5 amps, no switching noise, ability to offer a
latching feature and no power consumption when in off state.
Based on type, reed switch market is segmented into Form
A SPST (single pole, single throw), Form B SPST (single pole, single throw),
Form C SPDT (single pole, double throw), and latch type. Form A SPST are normal
open reed switch that interactions close in the presence of a magnetic field.
However, Form B SPST are closed reed switch that interactions open in the
presence of a magnetic field. Form C SPDT are stated as break-before-make reed,
these are generally closed contact opens and then an open contact closes.Based
