- Turkey is planning to establish logistics bases in African countries such as Ethiopia, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, and others after seeing an exponential rise in trade in the last 16 years. Moreover, the government officials will pay visits to Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Mozambique to sign free trade agreements (FTAs) with these countries.
- Turkey is planning to establish itself as a major manufacturing power by 2023. The machinery and equipment manufacturing sector aims to achieve USD 100.0 billion in export. Upcoming Industrial Zones in Turkey: The Turkish government has decided to establish six mega industrial zones in Istanbul, Bursa, Balıkesir, İzmir and Mardin with a TRY 23.1 billion (nearly USD 3.7 billion) investment.
